The questions we get most often

The common questions from workshops are rarely about the products in the first instance. They are about the regulations around refinishing: Does the equipment have to be EX classified? What applies to the inspection of personnel lifts? Why must water and solvent never be washed together?

The questions we get from workshops are rarely about the products in the first instance. They are about the regulations: Does the equipment have to be EX classified? What actually applies to the inspection of personnel lifts? Why are the paint cabinets not EX marked when they stand in a space with solvent?

The answers are rarely as complicated as they seem, but they are hard to find in one place. Here we write them down in plain language — without sales talk and without hiding behind regulations. If you have a question we have not answered, get in touch, and it will become the next article.

We would rather answer than sell

A buyer who understands why a product is designed the way it is makes a better decision — even if the decision is not to buy from us. We have been in the industry for forty years and believe it pays off in the long run to be the one who explains rather than the one who persuades.

The articles below are written by those of us who work with the equipment every day, not by an agency. Hopefully it shows: they answer questions we actually get, rather than questions that happen to contain the right keywords.

Frequently asked

What is the difference between WALL-MAN and LIFTMAN?

WALL-MAN is wall-mounted inside the spray booth and is the permanent solution — it leaves the floor completely free. LIFTMAN runs on wheels and rolls to wherever the work is, which suits you if you have several booths or a prep zone.

If you have low door openings, LIFTMAN Fold has a folding mast.

Will my spray booth take a wall-mounted lift?

We check that before installation. The wall and the booth structure have to carry the load, and that is not something we guess at — we measure on site or go through the drawings with you first.

What is the load capacity of WALL-MAN?

150 kg, which corresponds to one person with equipment. The basket runs on 7 bar compressed air. The lift is ATEX and CE marked, and the calculated service life is 25 years or 50,000 hours.

Do you manufacture yourselves?

Green Line is our own brand and is manufactured by us. WALL-MAN and LIFTMAN are manufactured by Reglo AS in Norway — we sell and install them in Sweden.

Which measurements should I check before ordering a Green Line cabinet?

The door frame above all. The cabinets are 225 cm tall, which is higher than a standard door.

Send us the measurements of your door and gate and we will check that the cabinet fits before you order.

Do you deliver throughout Sweden?

Yes, we deliver and install throughout Sweden. Green Line is also available across the Nordics and the Baltics, while the personnel lifts and wheel refurbishment equipment are sold in Sweden only.

Have a question we have not answered?

The list grows as the questions come in. If we get the same question from three different workshops, sooner or later it becomes an article here — it is cheaper for everyone than us answering it on the phone thirty times.

Call +46 31-86 59 50 or email info@paintpoint.se. You do not have to be a customer to ask, and we will not send any sales material afterwards.

About the content

Regulations change and interpretations differ between industries and supervisory authorities. The articles here are written to give a useful overview and a shared language to discuss from — they do not replace a risk assessment for your specific facility, and they are not legal advice.

If you are unsure what applies in your case, get in touch. We have seen enough workshops to usually be able to say where the problem tends to lie, and when it is time to bring in someone who knows more than we do.
